HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-88-06220 0 J-88-664 6/14/88 RESOLUTION NO. 88-4;4',' A RESOLUTION ORDERING N.W. 36 STREET SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT SR-5540-C (CENTERLINE) AND DESIGNATING THE PROPERTY AGAINST WHICH SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS SHALL BE MADE FOR A PORTION OF THE COST THEREOF AS N.W. 36 STREET SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT SR-5549-C (CENTERLINE). WHEREAS, properties along N.W. 36 Street between N.W. 27 Avenue and N.W. 38 Avenue are in need of sanitary sewer service; and WHEREAS, the goal of the City of Miami is to provide sanitary sewer service to the entire City; and WHEREAS, the Florida Department of Transportation intends to rebuild N.W. 36 Street in the near future and the proposed sanitary sewer in N.W. 36 Street should be constructed before the F.D.O.T. begins reconstruction of N.W. 36 Street; and WHEREAS, N.W. 36 STREET SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT SR-5549-C (Centerline) is currently included in the City of Miami's Capital Improvement Program (C.I.P. #351276); NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. A sanitary sewer improvement identified as N.W. 36 STREET SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT SR-5549-C (Centerline) shall be made under the provisions of Section 56 of the Charter of the City of Miami, as amended, located at N.W. 36 Street between N.W. 27 Avenue and N.W. 38 Avenue. Section 2. This improvement shall consist of: Laying an 8- inch or larger vitrified clay and/or polyvinyl chloride pipe sanitary sewer at or near the centerline of N.W. 36 Street from N.W. 27 Avenue to N.W. 38 Avenue; Laying 6-inch cast iron and/or polyvinyl chloride pipe laterals, as required, to the lots and parcels of land which abut upon the above mentioned street, as CITY COMMISSION MEETING OF JUL 114 1988 £SOLUTION No. £bIARKS: 0 0 listed in Section 3 hereof; Construction of manholes, pump stations, connections to existing sewers, and other appurtenances, and reconstructing street pavement, sidewalks, curbs and/or gutters where such reconstruction is made necessary by this sewer improvement. Section 3. Odio City Manager ENCLOSURES(For July 14, 1988 Commission Meetinw)_ t�ECOMNENUATION: It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt tree attached resolution ordering N.W. 36 Street Sanir.ar�v Speer Improvement SR-5549-C. BACKGRUUND: The Department of P u b 1 i c Works, after studying the area and considering the wishes of its residents, and in a continuing effort to serve all' residents of the City of Miami, is recommending the adoption of a resolution ordering N.W. 36 Street Sanitary Sewer Improvement. At the present tine there are no sanitary si.wers to serve properties along N.W. 36th Street between N.W. 27tn and 36th Avenues. The Florida Department of Transportation (F.0.0.T.) intends to rebuila N.W. 36th Street in the near future. Therefore, the proposed sanitary sewer should be constructed by the City of Miarii before the F . 0 . 0 . T . begins reconstruction of N.W. 36th Street. Y.W. 36th Street Sanitary Sewer Improvement SR-5549 is currently included in the City's 1987-93 Capital Improvement Program and will be funded by Sanitary Sewer General Obligation Bond Funds. The estimated total project cost is $1,10ti,000. Construction should comrlence this winter and be cocipleted in the spring of 1989.
