AT A TOTAL COST OF $147,366.00 FOR MIAMARINA RENOVATION - PHASE II, AND AUTHORIZING A FINAL PAYMENT OF $7,716.00 FROM THE ACCOUNT ENTITLED "MIAMARINA RENOVATION", PROJECT NO. 411007. WHEREAS, there exists a contract dated December 7, 1987 between the City of Miami and Firepak, Inc., for Miamarina Renovation - Phase II; and WHEREAS, the work has been satisfactorily completed by Firepak, Inc. and they have furnished the required documents certifying that all bills for labor and materials have been paid in full in connection with the aforesaid contract; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of the Department of Public Works recommend that the completed work be accepted and final payment made to the contractor; NOW, THEP,EFORE, RE IT RESOLVED BY THF. COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The completed work performed by Firepak, Inc. for MIAMARINA RENOVATION - PHASE II PROJECT NO. 413007 at a total cost of $147,366.00 is hereby approved. Section 2. The proper officials of the City of Miami are hereby authorized to pay $7,716.00 to Firepak, Inc. as full and final payment for all work performed and all materials furnished in connection with MIAMARINA RENOVATION - PHASE II from the account entitled "MIAMARINA RENOVATION", PROJECT NO. 413007. O d i o ~ ENCLOSURES City Manager RECOMMENDATION: 45 i++� r i9B8 FILE B-3213-C MIAMARINA RENOVATION PHASE II, From the Account Entitled "MIAMARINA RENOVATION", PROJECT NO. 413007 Resolution for Final Payment It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached resolution accepting the completed work performed by Firepak, Inc. at a total cost of $147,366.00 for MIAMARINA RENOVATION PHASE II, PROJECT NO. 413007 and authorizing a final payment of $7,716.00. BACKGROUND: The Department of Public Works has determined that it is now in order for the Commission to accept the completed work and authorize final payment, after all conditions are met for Miamarina Renovation - Phase II, from the account entitled "Iiamarina Renovation", Project No. 413007. Firepak, Inc. has completed the project consisting of refurbishing all the fire protector lines at Miamarina. The total payment to the contractor will be less than the original contract amount of $147,400.00 because not all of the Cash Allowance was used. Attachments: Proposed Resolution 88-619 Ll.S -/
