HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-88-06151" 88-$S 1 07101188 RESOLUTION NOs��� A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE: CITY MANAGER TO AMEND AN AGREEMENT, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, WITH THE CONSULTING FIRM OF SHEPARD, LOBE, COSTA, INC. FOR THE PURPOSE OF ORDERING 5,000 ADDITIONAL COPIES OF ��iE MARKETING;, PROMOTION & INFORMATION PACKAGh;_//AT A COST NOT TO EXCEED $15,000, WITH GENERAL FUNDS HEREBY ALLOCATED FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF DEVELOPMENT FY 1988 BUDGET. WHEREAS, it is the policy of the City to promote economic development by attracting new businesses to the area, and providing relevant information on the City to the prospective businesses; and WHEREAS, the City Commission allocated $50,000 from the 11th year Community development Block Grants (Ordinance # 9991) for the purpose of printing information materials to promote the City and the neighborhoods; and WHEREAS, the City Commission approved a Resolution C87-225) to hire Shepard, Lobe, Costa, Inc. consulting firm to prepare and publish the Marketing, Promotion & Information Package; and WHEREAS, the Consultant completed all relevant work to publish the Marketing, Promotion & Information Package; and WHEREAS, the cost of ordering additional copies, at this time, is far less than regular reprint order; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: 1/The Package referred to herein has been prepared and published by said firm, COMMISSION i CITY COMMISSION ' MEETING OF JUL 14 1988 ?11 UTION No. E ir�r� •� o' SECTION I. The City Manager is hereby authorized to amend an agreement, in a form acceptable to the City Attorney, with the consulting firm of Shepherd, Lobe, Costa, Inc. for the purpose of ordering 5,000 additional copies of the Marketing, Promotion & Information Packagel/at a cost not to exceed $15,000, SECT10N 2. An amount of $15,000 is hereby allocated from the Department of Development FY 1988 General Funds to covet the costs of said services. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of July , 1988.
