ON THE BOARD OF THE DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MIAMI. WHEREAS, the Downtown Development Authority ("DDA") hoard met on June 24, 1988 and voted to nominate. Martin Fine, Thomas Post, Tony Alonso, Mi riam Lopez, and E. Fvonne Raglin whose Board terms expired June 30, 1988, for reappointment to full four year terms expiring June 30, 1992: and WHEREAS, each of the above named nominees fulfills the qualifications for Board membership pursuant to Section 14-27 of the City Code, and each of the above named nominees has indicated his/her desire and willingness to serve on the DDA Board; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Members of the City Commission vv susJECbDA Board Reappointments i FROM Cesar Od i o REFERENCES j� City Manage �J ENCLOSURES RECOMMENDATION It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached resolution reappointing Martin Fine, Thomas Post, Tony Alonso, Miriam Lopez, and E. Evonne Raglin to the DDA Board for terms expiring June 30, 1992. BACKGROUND On June 24, 1988, the DDA Board met and adopted the attached resolution which nominates Martin Fine, Thomas Post, Tony Alonso, Miriam Lopez, and E. Evonne Raglin for reappointment to the DDA Board for four year terms expiring June 30, 1992. Messrs. Fine, Post, and Alonso are ending full four year terms. Ms. Raglin was appointed to the DDA Board in September, 1986, to serve the remaining term of Mrs. Argentina Hills who resigned from the Board and whose term expired June 30, 1988. Mrs. Lopez, recommended by Commissioner Kennedy, was just appointed to the DDA Board in March, 1988 to fill the three remaining months of Mr. James Carreker's term (Mr. Carreker resigned) which expired June 30, 1988. Each of the nominees continues to fulfill the qualifications for DDA Board membership stated in Section 14-27 of the City Code and each has indicated a willingness to continue to serve on the DDA Board.
