Pursuant to the authority vested in me as Mayor of the City
of Miami, Florida. I, Xavier L. Suarez. do hereby oall a Speoiai
Meeting of the Miami City Commission to tape plaoe on
August G. 1988. in the City Commission Chambers. City Hall, 3500
Pan Amerioan Drive. Mimi. Florida. for the purpose of
oonsidering matters of urgent publio import, as follows: (i)
matters related to existing land use regulations vhioh oonsist of
the adoption of four proposed legislative measures in the form of
Items +PZ-7 through iPZ-10 inolusive, vhioh appeared on the
July Zlst. 1988 Meeting Agenda of the City Commission, the titles
of vhioh are not forth on the attached Sohedule "A"; and (II)
matters vhioh relate to improvements of City Parrs; namely, the
adoption of six (6) proposed resolutions vhioh were last
soheduled for City Commission oonsideration at its Meeting of
July 14, 1988 and that aped on the Agenda for that Meeting &a
Items #93-98 inolusive. t e titles of wbioh are set forth on the
attached Sohedule "B"; and. (III) a matter related to the
oonstruotion of Pepper Fountain in eayfront Park on an emergenoy
basis vhioh will allow the City Manager to aooept the lowest
responsible and responsive bid for the oonstruotion of said
Fountain. with City Commission oonsideration of this matter (III)
having been advertised to begin no earlier than 11:25 A.M. on the
date of the herein Special Meeting.
The herein Speoial Meeting shall oommenoe at 11:10 A.M. on
August S. 1988 immediately upon the adjournment of the City
Commission Meeting that has been speoially soheduled by City
Commission Motion No. 88-898, adopted July 81. 1988. to begin at
11:00 A.M. on August S. 1988.
