It has come to my attention that a Florida International University (FIU) faculty member. Professor Leonardo Alvarez, has applied for the Landscape Architecture position on the City of Miami Heritage Conservation Board. The ourrnse of my letter is to offer my strong recommendation for Professor Alvarez to be named to the vaunt slot on -the Board. My endorsement is based on the excellent manner in which Professor Alvarez has conducted himself at FIU and the respect which he has earned both from his students and from his peers in the architectural community. I aw certain that should the City Commission choose to appoint Professor Alvarez to the Heritage Conservation Board, you would be well served. Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely, Modesto A.
