A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE MODIFICATION OF AN AGREEMENT, DATED SEPTEMBER 12, 1988, WITH OVERTOWN VENTURES, INC., THE CITY'S LESSEE OF A RETAIL FOOD STORE IN THE OVERTOWN SHOPPING CENTER TO PROVIDE THAT TITLE TO EQUIPMENT LOCATED IN THE STORE AND OWNED BY THE CITY BY VIRTUE OF A CONTRIBUTION FROM MIAMI CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT, INC., BE TRANSFERRED TO SAID LESSEE, SAID EQUIPMENT BEING DEEMED SURPLUS; DECLARING SUCH EQUIPMENT TO BE CATEGORY "A" STOCK, AND DESIGNATING THE HEREIN CONTRIBUTION OF THE SAME AS THE CITY'S APPROPRIATE COMMITMENT IN SUPPORT OF A VIABLE SHOPPING FACILITY FOR RESIDENTS OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD; FURTHER ALLOCATING AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $200,000 FROM THE PROPERTY AND LEASE MANAGEMENT ENTERPRISE FUND TO COVER THE COST OF RENOVATIONS AND IMPROVEMENTS TO SAID STORE PREMISES. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. A modification of an agreement, dated September 12, 1988, with Overtown Ventures, Inc., the City's lessee of a retail food store in the Overtown Shopping Center to provide that title to equipment located in the store and owned by the City by virtue of a contribution from Miami Capital Development, Inc., be transferred to said lessee, said equipment being hereby deemed surplus, is hereby approved and authorized. Section 2. The above equipment is hereby declared to be Category "A" stock and designated as the City's appropriate commitment in support of a viable shopping facility for residents of the neighborhood. Section 3. An amount not exceeding $200,000 is hereby allocated from the Property and Lease Management Enterprise Fund to cover the cost of renovations and improvements to said store premises.
