AA-9.31 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION ENDORSING AND SUPPORTING THE "MINORITY HEALTH SYMPOSIUM III -- AIDS IN THE MINORITY COMMUNITY" TAKING PLACE ON OCTOBER 27-28, 1988, AT THE BISCAYNE BAY MARRIOTT HOTEL IN THE CITY OF MIAMI; DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO TRANSMIT A COPY OF THIS RESOLUTION TO THE PRIMARY HEALTH CARE CONSORTIUM OF DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, INC., AND TO OTHER DESIGNATED AGENCIES. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The Miami City Commission hereby endorses and supports the "Minority Health Symposium III -- Aids in the Minority Community" taking place on October 27-28, 1988, at the Biscayne Bay Marriott Hotel in the City of Miami. Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to the Primary Health Care Consortium of Dade County, Florida, Inc., Dade County Area Health Education Center Program, the Health Council of South Florida, Metro Dade Department of Human Resources, Metro Miami Action Plan, the South Florida AIDS Network, and the University of Miami School of Medicine. The Symposium will take place on October 27 and 28 at the Biscayne Bay Marriott Hotel. Other co-sponsors include Dade County Area Health Education Center Program, the Health Council of South Florida, Metro Dade Department of Human Resources, Metrb Miami Action Plan, the South Florida AIDS Network, and the University of Miami School of Medicine. Co-sponsors are recognized in the program distributed the day of the conference as well as having an opportunity to participate in the program itself. The Committee is seeking financial aid from the City of Miami to assist in Advertising $1500 (Miami Times, E1 Herald, Diaros Los Americas) Speakers travel and accomodation 3500 Total request $5000 We look forward to your support and participation in this program.
