MILLER DAWKINI'l Ct'r( Of MIAW As per our recent conversation regarding former City of Miami Police vehicles we acquired sometime ago, as you know, we were given eight police vehicles of which only four were repairable. We would like to return the re- maining four vehicles and request four others in better condition when your City deadlines them. We have asked the City Manager to allow us to present a proposal in front of the City Commission, whereby we will sell at public auction our current old fleet of motorcycles, and share the proceed with the City of Miami. We would re -invest our portion into six police Kasawaski that we intend to request from the City of Miami. As always, had it not been for the massive cooperation we have received from you and the City of Miami, the motorcycles unit would not have achieve it's goals and objectives. As a result, we have had a tremendous success in the reduction of traffic violation in our multiple school zone. This couldn't have been possible if it were not for your cooperation. In an effort to maintain the excellent relationship that we enjoy today with your City, I have suggested to our Mayor (Isidoro Cuevas) that because the equipment currently being used is deteriorating to the point that we must contemplate the replacement of same. We would like to propose that we sell all of our motorcycles at public auction and divide the proceed between our Cities. This will allow us if possible to request from your City an additional six motorcycles (Kawasakis) when they are deadline, and re -invest the remaining portion of our proceed in repairing and maintaining the new fleet. In addition, we would also like to offer the same procedure for former Miami police vehicles when they are for auction. If for some reason this proposal or because of the availability of equipment is not amiable to you, please do not feel disturb to advise us of your decision. We realize that your City has commitments with other organization. If possible, we will like to request a meeting with you to dis- cuss our proposal and personally thank you for your time and ef- fort in making our City a better place jo live. n Siodedsl ' --f'i.l. •iiY• Chiet o Police. cc.
