Ar Of A -r,40 HfALrHl A Wfio% FWo Few#ya/ October 25, 1988 Vice Mayor Rosario Kennedy Miami City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Coconut Grove, Florida 33133 Dear Vice Mayor Kennedy: I am the organizer of a 'whole foods festival' called A TASTE OF HEALTH, which is happening in Peacock Park this Sunday, October 30th. It is the first such event of it's kind in the U.S. and it is being supported and attended by many of the major health food manufacturers and suppliers nationally as well as locally. I have all the necessary permits and things are running very smoothly. However, I now realize that there is a possibility that a group of retail vendors might try to sell their food on the outskirts of our event, up and down Mc Farlane and South Bayshore. Worse than that, many of them will be selling 'junk food'. This is certainly not in keeping with the spirit of our event. My request is for you to bring up as a pocket item in this weeks Commission Meeting a resolution for the restriction of retail peddlers within a two block radius of Peacock Park during the TASTE OF HEALTH festival on Sunday, October 30, 1988. Thank you for your help and consideration. Yours truly, ATaste of Health, Inc., 24^ 1 a FL 17 F, r 00,l Michael Fichman (305) 594.1041. Richard Fendelman ... Executive Director
