ORDINANCE N0.
AN ORDINANCE, CREATING A NEW SPECIAL. REVENUE
FUND ENTITLED "RECREATION PROGRAMS FOR THE
MENTALLY RETARDED - F'Y' 88-89" AND
APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR ITS OPERATION IN THE
TOTAL. AMOUNT OF $289,795 CONSISTING OF A
$244,795 GRANT FROM THE STATE OF FLORIDA,
DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND REHABILITATIVE
SERVICES (HRS) AND $45,000 FROM FISCAL YEAR
1998-89 SPECIAL PROGRAMS AND ACCOUNTS,
MATCHING FUNDS FOR GRANTS; AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT THE GRANT AWARD AND TO
ENTER INTO THE NECESSARY CONTRACT(S) AND/OR
AGREEMENT(S) TO ACCEPT THE GRANT AWARD;
CONTAINING A REPEALER PROVISION AND A
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE.
WHEREAS, a sum of $45,000 has been budgeted,, i�f' fiscal

Rehabilitati Services (hereina t referred to as HRS) has
offered the C ty a grant of $101,952 consisting of federal and
state funds to provide recreation to mentally retarded individuals
!or the period of October 1, 1988 through September 30, 1989; and
WHEREAS, HRS Tana offered the City a grant of $89,548.20
consisting of federal and state funds to provide developmental
training to mentally retarded individuals for the period of
October 1, 1989 through September 30, 1989; and
WHEREAS, HRS has offered the City a grant of $39,191,04
consisting of federal and state funds to provide transportation to
mentally retarded individuals to recreational facilities for the
period October 1, 1988 through September 30, 1989; and
