AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A NEW SPECIAL REVENUE FUND ENTITLED: "HISTORIC PRESERVATION: SURVEY UPDATE," AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE OPERATION OF SAME IN THE AMOUNT OF $6,250, CONSISTING OF A $1,250 GRANT FROM THE STATE OF FLORIDA: DEPARTMENT OF STATE; AND $5,000 FROM FISCAL YEAR 1988-89 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT: CITYWIDE HISTORIC PRESERVATION; CONTAINING A REPEALER PROVISION AND A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE. WHEREAS, the United States Department of the Interior: National Park Service administers the historic preservation program authorized by the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, as amended; and WHEREAS, an Historic Preservatipi Trust Fund has been estiblo shed by the State of Florida under authoriy, Qf Section 267.0617, F1ori-:da:Statutes, which includes a part of the Federal funds apportioned annuaJly-to the State by the United States Department of the Interiorand other funds appropriated by the �, t State legislature" for histdric preservati4� act' 'rities; and WHEREAS, tfie State of Florida: vepartment of . State; -Division of t Historical Res'Ar4es has offered the City of Miami a $1,250 grant-in-aid to update the MiamijM storic survey; and WHEREAS, the Commission of the City of Miami, per Resolution No. accepted said grant-in-aid, and the City Manager executed the grant agreement; and WHEREAS, activities to be accomplished under this grant program include obtaining current photographs of all Miami properties on the Dade County Historic Survey; and WHEREAS, the Planning Department will use existing staff to meet the local match requirement of the grant; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA; Section 1. The following Special Revenue Fund is hereby established and resources are hereby appropriated as described herein:
