ENCLOSURES: RECOMMENDATION: It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached resolution authorizing the confirmation of one individual to fill a vacancy on the Affirmative Action Advisory Board. BACKGROUND: ` The Department of Internal Audits and Reviews requests confirmation of Sgt. J.J. Williams to the Affirmative Action Advisory Board. Ms. Carolyn Clarke, due to her busy work schedule, resigned her position on the Advisory Board. Sgt. J.J. Williams has been selected by the Fraternal Order of Police to complete the term expiring January 24, 1989. In accordance with administrative policy, I am notifying you of the above so that you may appoint members to the Board as provided for in Section I of Ordinance No. 9139. The F.O.P. is very proud of the accomplishments made by Sister Clarke during her tenure, and understands her need to resign from her position. The F.O.P. is appointing Sgt. J.J. Williams to replace Carolyn Clarke as the organization's representative to the Affirmative Action Board. Please do all the necessary paperwork to reflect this change.
