Dear Mr. Odio:
For some time the need for a mini police station located on
Biscayne Boulevard has been evident. A survey from the Parl;s
Department indicates one can be developed for as little as
$70,000.00. This capital improvement is supported by the new
police chief, and the site of Legion Park is agreeable to all
interested parties.
The cost factor is minimal. Funds for this project can be found
from the interest received on monies set aside for construction
of police sub -stations. An alternative source could be interest
on the $8.3 million allocated for parks improvement.
This letter is a formal request that this item, along with
funding options, be included on the agenda for the City
Commission meeting scheduled for Thursday, November 3, 1988.
Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. We look forward
to your confirmation.
