RESOLUTION NO. 48---112()
A RESOLUTION APPROVING, IN PRINCIPLE, THE
CONSTRUCTION AND DONATION TO THE CITY OF A
BUST BY THE DIAZ VERSON FAMILY TO HONOR
SALVADOR DIAZ VERSON TO BE LOCATED IN JOSE
MARTI PARK, SUBJECT TO AND CONTINGENT UPON
THE FAMILY'S COMPLIANCE WITH SUCH CONDITIONS
AND LIMITATIONS AS MAY BE PRESCRIBED BY THE
CITY OF MIAMI, INCLUDING THOSE REQUIREMENTS
STIPULATED HEREIN.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The construction and donation to the City of
a bust by the Diaz Verson family honoring Salvador Diaz Verson to
be located in Jose Marti Park is hereby approved, in principle.
Section 2. Said approval is hereby subject to and
contingent upon the family's compliance with all conditions and
limitations as may be prescribed by the Administration and
Commission of the City of Miami, including, without limitation,
the requirements stipulated herein:
a. The family shall pay for all costs associated with
and/or required for the construction of the monument
and shall certify the availability of adequate funds
prior to the start of construction;
b. The family shall provide for the continued maintenance
of the monument;
C. The family shall submit design and location plans to
the Administration for review and approval prior to
construction; and

d. The family shall comply with all applicable building
regulations and obtain all required permits.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption pursuant to law.

communist crusader foy many decades. A leader of the Communi-
ty, a published author and journalist.
