RESOLUTION NO. NN-1108
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE USE OF CERTAIN
STREETS AND THOROUGHFARES IN DOWNTOWN MIAMI
DURING THE KIDS IN CRISIS 5-K RACE, TO BF
HELD DECEMBER 15, 1988 BETWEEN THE HOURS OF
2:00 P.M. AND 6:00 P.M., SUBJECT TO THE
ISSUANCE OF PERMITS BY THE DEPARTMENTS OF
POLICE AND FI RE, RESCUE AN1) INSPECTION
SERVICES; AUTHORIZING THE POLICE DEPARTMENT
TO CONTROL TRAFFIC FLOW ON THE STREETS TO BE
UTILIZED AS PART OF THE RACE COURSE; FURTHER
CONDITIONED UPON ORGANIZERS PAYING FOR ALL
NECESSARY COSTS OF CITY SERVICES AND THE
REQUIREMENT THAT THE CITY WILL BE INSURED
AGAINST ANY POTENTIAL LIABILITY.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The use of South Miami Avenue from Southeast
Sixth Street to Southeast Twenty-sixth Road on December 15, 1988,
between the hours of 2:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. during the Kids in
Crisis 5-K race to conducted by Kids in Crisis is hereby
approved.
Section 2. The herein approval is hereby conditioned upon
the organizers obtaining the necessary permits from the
Departments of Police, Fire, Rescue and Inspection Services.
Section 3. The Police Department is hereby authorized to
control traffic flow on the streets to be utilized as part of the
race course.
Section 4. Such authorization is subject to the organizers
obtaining insurance requirements as mandated by the City of Miami
and paying for all costs of City services associated with said
event.
