The erection of more . stories up to a height of one hundred and five feet ano six inches (105'6") would be totally out of character with the neighborhood. The proposed number of crypt spaces is 11,426 which would have a tremendous impact on the number of parking spaces that -would be needed to accommodate the potential visitors to the mausoleum. ZONING BOARD At its meeting of July 18, 1988, the Zoning.Board adopted Resolution ZB 105-88, by an 8 to 0 vote, continuing the above to October 3, 1988. At its meeting of October 3, 1988, the Zoning Board adopted Resolution ZB 126-88, by a 7 to 0 vote, continuing the above to November 7, 1988. At its meeting of November 7, 1988, the Zoning Board adopted Resolution ZB 138-88, by a 7 to 1 vote, denying the above. Twenty-one objections were received by mail. Traurig, represent Memorial Sales, Inc., the owner of the subject property and the applicant that was denied the height variance. The Variance requested is for relief from the provisions of Section 2015/2016 of the City of Miami Zoning Ordinance as follows: In that the applicant is seeking a waiver of the 36'6" height limitation of the RG 1/3 zoning district so as to permit a 71'6" south elevation and a 10516" west elevation for the Flagler Memorial Park Mausoleum. ....... 9. In support of this application, the applicant Is prepared to offer the following evidence, on the point enumerated at Subsection 3103.1 of the City of Miami Zoning Ordinance: Note. Without this variance, at some point the cemetery will no longer be a viable use since there will be no more room for burials and obviously this property could not be converted to another use.. (d) -- Granting the variance requested will not confer an the petitioner any special privilege that is denied by the Zoning Ordinance to other lands, buildings, or structures in the some zoning district in that: This.is a unique circumstance in that the use of this residentially zoned property is a cemetery, as opposed to.a residence.
