Odio City Manager ENCLOSURES: •RECOAMENPATION: It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached resolution ratifying, approving, and confirming. the acceptance of the appraisal proposals of Edward Waronker, Property Consultant, Inc., at a fee of $4,900, and Gene Kelly, Appraisal First, Inc., at a fee of $5,100, both members of the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers, to appraise for Fair Market Value, portions of Municipal Shop Tract (4.96 acres), located at the SW corner of NW 20 Street and NW 10 Avenue, as an emergency. action of the City Manager. BACKGROUND: The General Services Administration Department, Property..and Lease Management Division, was requested by the City Manager to seek appraisals for the Municipal Shop Tract, located at NW_20 Street and 10 Avenue. The City is considering the sale of a portion of this property. In accordance with section 18-80 of the City of Miami Code, the City is required to secure appraisals from at leasttwo,.independent appraisers who are members of the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers. A competitive solicitation was conducted in order to procure the two Lowest bidders. In order to expedite the assignment of two appraisers for the convenience of the City, the City Manager took emergency action accepting the appraisal proposal of Edward Waronker, Property Consultant, Inc., and of Gene Kelly# Appraisal First, Inc., as the low bidders.
