Ili V=UARY' S TOUR OF THE AMERICAS Fort Lauderdale, FL -- Bicycle racing superstar Stephen Roche, the' second rider in history to have won the "Triple Crown" of cycling, has announced that he will ride with France's Fagor team in the 1989 TOUR CF TgEERICAS SUPER SERIES, the only international cycling event to s an two continents. In 198T, Roche captured the World Professional Championship title and won both the Tour de France and the Giro Joining the legendary Eddie Merckx for this distinction. :d italis , J Roche, a 30-year-old Irishman from Dublin, underwent knee surgery r k after his storybook season and returned to racing in the Summer of 1988.
