ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A SPECIAL REVENUE
FUND ENTITLED: "EMERGENCY SHELTER GRANT
(PY'89)"# APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR OPERATION
OF SAME IN THE AMOUNT OF $186,000 FROM U.S.
DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT
(USHUD) AS A RESULT OF THE STEWART B.
MCKINNEY HOMELESS ASSISTANCE ACT AND
FURTHER AUTHURIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ACCEPT THE AFOREMENTIONED GRANT AWARD AND
ENTER INTO THE NECESSARY CONTRACT AND/OR
AGREEMENT WITH USHUDT CONTAINING A
REPEALER PROVISION AND A SEVERABILITY
CLAUSE.
WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban'
Development (USHUD) has informed the City that it is eligible to
_l apply for an additional $186,000 from the U.S. Department of

a result of the FiscalY r 9 Stewart B. cK�n y Homeless
Assistance Act to p. vide oyr ms for the h l s; and
NOW, THEREFO , I AINED H MISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORID
Section I. he following Spec. Revenue Fund is hereby
established and re ources are hereby appropriated as described
herein:
FUND TITLE: EMERGENCY SHELTER GRANT (FY'89)
RESOURCES: U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN
DEVELOPMENT $1860000
APPROPRIATION: EMERGENCY SHELTER GRANT $186,000
Section 2. This appropriation is contingent upon approval
of a grant application by USHUD and the City Manager's acceptance
thereof.
Section 3.
The City Manager is hereby authorized to accept
the grant as set
forth in the preamble to this ordinance and to t`
