A RESOLUTION CONCERNING THE WYNWOOD FESTIVAL
TO BE CONDUCTED BY WYNWOOD COMMUNITY ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION THEREBY ALLOCATING AN
AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $412 FROM SPECIAL
PROGRAMS AND ACCOUNTS, CONTINGENT FUND, TO
COVER FIRE, RESCUE AND INSPECTION SERVICES
DEPARTMENT EVENT PERMIT FEE AND INSPECTOR;
FURTHER ALLOCATING AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
$940 TO COVER THE COST OF RENTAL EQUIPMENT
FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS, RECREATION AND
PUBLIC FACILITIES; INSTRUCTING THE CITY
MANAGER TO WORK WITH THE POLICE DEPARTMENT TO
LOWER THE COST OF POLICE SERVICES FOR SAID
EVENT; FURTHER INSTRUCTING THE CITY MANAGER
TO LOAN BARRICADES, IF AVAILABLE, TO THE
ORGANIZERS OF THE EVENT; DIRECTING THE
ORGANIZERS TO SUBMIT TO THE CITY A
PERFORMANCE BOND OR OTHER SURETY ACCEPTABLE
TO THE CITY TO COVER THE ESTIMATED COST OF
CLEAN UP AND TRASH DISPOSAL EXPENSES FOR SAID
EVENT; SAID ALLOCATIONS BEING CONDITIONED
UPON SUBSTANTIAL COMPLIANCE WITH CITY OF
MIAMI ADMINISTRATIVE POLICY NO. APM-1-84,
DATED JANUARY 24, 1984.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDAt
Section 1. An amount not to exceed $412 is hereby
allocated from Special Programs and Accounts, Contingent fund, to
cover the cost of the Fire, Rescue and Inspection Services
Department event permit fee and Inspector in connection with the
Wynwood Festival to be conducted by Wynwood Community Economic
Development Corporation.
Section 2. An additional amount not to exceed $940 is
hereby allocated to cover the rental cost of equipment from the
Department of Parks, Recreation and Public Facilities.
Section 3. The City Manager is hereby instructed to loan
barricades, if available, to the organizers of the event.
