A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE EXTENSION OF THE
EXISTING CONTRACT THRU SEPTEMBER 11, 1989 FOR
THE FURNISHING OF RED CLAY FOR ANNUAL
BALLFIELD REFURBISHING AT CITY PARKS FROM
G.E. METCALF & CO., INC. APPROVED ORIGINALLY
ON RESOLUTION NO. 86-688, BID NO. 85•-86-94 AT
A TOTAL PROPOSED COST OF $20,000.00;
ALLOCATING FUNDS THEREFOR FROM THE 1988-89
OPERATING BUDGET ACCOUNT CODE NO. 580302-712;-
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE
CHIEF PROCUREMENT OFFICER TO ISSUE A PURCHASE
'i ORDER FOR THIS SERVICE.
WHEREAS, this Red Clay will ,be used by the Department of

Parks, Recreation and Public Facilities/Operations Division for -
the purpose of refurbishing the City'd ballfields; and

WHEREAS, funds for this purchase will be available from the
�f 1988-89 Operating Budget Account Code No. 580302-712; and

WHEREAS, this contract was originally approved on'F
Resolution No. 86-688 on September 11, 1986, Bid No. 85-86-94;

�j WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of the Department s
'! of Parks, Recreation and Public Facilities recommend that the;: z
extension thru September 1989 for the acquisition of Red Clay:r�

tt, - NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF. THE CITY '.. `

Section'l. The extension of the existing contract from G.E.
Metcalf & "Co. Inc. approved originally on Resolution No 86-48,
