MA7THEW GISSEN, J.D., CAP.
PRESIDENT
Pursuant to a conversation which I had with Laurie in the agenda
office I was informed that I would need to request in writing that
I be placed on the agenda for a public hearing held by the
Commission of the City of Miami, Florida on May 11, 1989.
The purpose of my requesting to be placed on the agenda is to have
the Commission consider a co -designation of N.E. 4th Avenue between
N. E. 30th and 31st Street as "The Village Way".
The Village South is Dade County's largest substance abuse
treatment program serving the indigent population and have been in
operation for nearly 20 years. We own all properties east of 4th
Avenue between 30th and 31st Street. To the west are parking lots
for businesses located on Biscayne Boulevard, so these would be
uneffected by this change.
We look forward to seeing you on May 11 at the Commission hearing.
Please confirm our appearance at your earliest convenience.
Sincerely,
The Village South, Inc.
James Gilliland,
Director of Special Projects
