Z i/ MAYOR CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA INTER -OFFICE MEMORANDUM To : The Honorable Mayor and Members DATE of t City Commission SUBJECT Cesar H. Odio REFERENCES FROM ` City Manager ENCLOSURES: Cem ' FILE Ah*'R 2069 Crime Stoppers Anonymous It is respectfully requested that the City Commission allocate funding in the amount of ten thousand dollars ($10,000), from the Law Enforcement Trust Fund, as a contribution to Crime Stoppers Anonymous. The Miami Police Department participates in the Crime Stoppers Anonymous Program by. coordinating the follow up of any tips received affecting the City of Miami's jurisdiction. A reward system has been established for the benefit of those people assisting in the apprehension of criminals or the curtailment of criminal activity. In previous years the City of Miami has made its contribution from the General Fund. This program, however, has never been a regularly budgeted item and funds were provided on an "as available" basis. As there are no funds available in the General Fund for this year's contribution the Law Enforcement Trust Fund will be utilized. It is therefore, recommended that a Resolution allocating ten thousand dollars ($10,000) to the Crime Stoppers Anonymous Program, funding to be provided from the Law Enforcement Trust Fund, Project No. 690001, Index Code 290904-996, be accepted. El AFFIDAVIT I, Perry L.
