RESOLUTION NO. 89- C,674
A RESOLUTION CONCERNING BASTILLE DAY TO BE
CONDUCTED BY THE RENAISSANCE HISTORICAL
SOCIETY OF FLORIDA, INC. TO BE HELD JULY 14,
1989, AUTHORIZING THE CLOSURE OF DESIGNATED
STREETS TO THROUGH VEHICULAR TRAFFIC; SUBJECT
TO THE ISSUANCE OF PERMITS BY THE DEPARTMENTS
OF POLICE AND FIRE, RESCUE AND INSPECTION
SERVICES AND THE REQUIREMENT THAT THE CITY
WILL BE INSURED AGAINST ANY POTENTIAL
LIABILITY AND UPON ORGANIZERS PAYING FOR ALL
NECESSARY COSTS OF CITY SERVICES.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. In order to effectuate safe passage during
Bastille Day the following streets are hereby closed to through
vehicular traffic on July 14, 1989 as specified below:
North Miami Avenue from Northwest Thirty-fifth Street to
Northwest Thirty-six Street.
Included in the herein closure are all streets, avenues,
alleys, ways and thoroughfares which intersect the
enumerated areas delineated in this Section.
Section 2. Such closing of streets is subject to State
approval and issuance of permits by the Departments of Police and
Fire, Rescue and Inspection Services. Said permit from the
Department of Police is to be issued upon full approval of the
Chief of Police after giving all due consideration to the safety
and traffic needs of residents, businesses, and religious
institutions in the area for entering and crossing through said
arterials and upon the favorable exercise of the City Manager's
judgement predicated upon all factors set forth herein.
Section 3. Such street closures are subject to the
organizers obtaining insurance requirements as mandated by the
City of Miami and paying for all necessary costs of City
services.

Section 4. This Resolution shall become effectively
immediately upon its adoption pursuant to law.

Dear Sir:
Permission is requested for a personal appearance
before the City'of Miami Commissioners to request
the temporary closure of Miami Avenue for one block
(between 35th Street to 36th Street) for a total of
two (2) hours, from 10 A.M. until 12 o'clock on Fri -
".'day, July 14th, 1989.
REASON FOR CLOSURE OF STREET: Celebration and mini -
parade of the French bi-centennial, Bastille Day,
July 14th, 1789. CLIENT: Roche-Bobois, 3550 North
Miami Avenue, Pierre de Agostini, General Manager.
