A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE COWITMENT OF FINANCIAL
SUPPORT BY THE MEMBERS OF THE CITY COMMSSION TO THE
COMISION PCRMANENTE DE LAS SERIES DE BASEBALL INFANTIL
Y JUVENIL DEL CARIBE Y PRISES HERMANOS; ALLOCATING THE
AMOM OF $10,500 AS SET FORTH HEREIN FROM THE CITY
COMMISSION COMMUNITY PRa7EC'TS ACCOUNT; FURTHER
DIRECTING THE AMXW OF $12 , 000 BE BUDGETED IN THE
FY'89-90 ANNUAL APPROPRIATIONS ORDINANCE AS FUNDING IN
SUPPORT OF SUCH PROGRAM.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The expressions and co mitments of financial support
as expressed this date by the members of the City Comission. to the Canision
Permanente de las Series de Baseball Infantil y Juvenil del Caribe y Paises
Hermanos in the total amount of $10,500 are hereby confirmed.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby directed to budget the
amount of $12,000 in the FY'89-90 Annual Appropriations Ordinance as funding
in support of such program.
Section 3. This Resolution shall became effective immediately
upon its adoption.

Dear Mr. Xavier Suarez:
The Tony Taylor Baseball Academy which is a member and
founder of "La Comision Permanente de las Series de Baseball
Infantii y Juvenil del Caribe y Palses Hermanos is interested
in appearing on the next agenda for the City of Miami Com-
missioners meeting in order to request funds to be made
available for a baseball tournament which will be take place in
Guatemala on July 21, 1989 through July 30, 1989.
Participating countries are as follows;
Aruba Venezuela
Panama Puerto Rico
Dominican Republic Guatemala
Ecuador Mexico
Colombia Miami, U.S.A.

Unlike the above mentioned teams which receive financial
assistance from their respective governments, the Tony
Taylor Academy, representing Miami, has no funds. There-
fore, we would appreciate yoour fullest cooperation iw assis- ;
ting us by being placed on the next agenda.
