Odio REFERENCES City Manager ENCLOSURES: RECOMMENDATION: It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached Ordinance amending section 1 of Ordinance No. 10521, The Capital Improvements Appropriation Ordinance, as amended, adopted November 17, 1988, by establishing the project entitled "Solid Waste Expanded Facilities", Project No. 353008, in the amount of $25,000; appropriating funds in said amount for said project from the 1970 Pollution General Obligation Bonds; containing- a repealer provision and a severability clause. BACKGROUND: It has been determined that the establishment of a project entitled "Solid Waste Expanded Facilities" is necessary for the improvement and expansion of certain facilities vital to the daily operations and control of inventory at the Department of Solid Waste. Specifically, the fencing of the property located at the Department of Solid Waste at 1290 NW 20 Street, to provide better security for storage of critical equipment used for street cleaning-dumpsters, roll -offs, etc. Additionally, the communication room which houses the facilities that support, on a daily basis, the vital communications exchange of field operations and houses the master computer are inadequate for the rapid growing demand of this service. Therefore, expansion of this area is recommended. Project No.: 353008 Budget Amount: $25,000.00 10431.')
