Florida A & M University's Orange Blossom Classic has been home
in Miami since 1947, and has reached social and athletic prom-
inence as thousands of football fans from around the nation join
fans from around South Florida in creating what most affectionat-
ly call the "Classic," --- an unforgettable coterie of events and

This event attracts persons of all ethnic backgrounds, and serves
as a unifying force in mi-Iti-cultural Dade County, thus continuing
to promote through its various activities, a positive image of

This is to request your assistance in Florida A&M University's quest
to utilize the Orange Bowl Stadium on Saturday, October 28, 1989 at
7 p.m. rent free. The aforementioned request will greatly assist the
University in its ability to maximize revenue from the Orange Blossom
Classic.
We are also requesting your assistance in the waivering of the debt
service charge associated with each ticket sold.
As in the past we do appreciate the assistance you have rendered to
the University in it desires to make the Orange Blossom Classic an
outstanding athletic event in the Miami area. We solicit your
assistance for the 1989 Classic.
If any additional information is needed, please let me know.

On behalf of the Executive Board of the Orange
Blossom Classic Committee, we would like to re-
quest placement on the September 14, 1989 agenda
to request assistance from the City of Miami in
the form of In -Kind services to support the
needs of the 1989 Orange Blossom Classic & Fes-
tival.
The Orange Blossom Classic brings to the entire
community over 300,000 visitors and residents
while serving as a bridge for building stronger
community relationships.
