HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-89-0860J-89-745 7/2 5/89 RESOLUTION NO. 89-.86) A RESOLUTION CLOSING, VACATING, ABANDONING AND DISCONTINUING THE PUBLIC USE OF THOSE TWO NORTH -SOUTH ALLEYS AND ONE EAST -WEST ALLEY LOCATED WITHIN THE BLOCK BOUNDED BY BRICKELL AVENUE, SOUTHEAST 14 LANE, SOUTHEAST BAYSHORE DRIVE, AND ,SOUTHEAST 14 TERRACE; ALL AS A CONDITION OF APPROVAL OF TENTATIVE PLAT NO. 1354 "BRICKELL GATEWAY EAST"; ZONED SPI-5 BRICKELL-MIAMI RIVER RESIDENTIAL OFFICE DISTRICT. WHEREAS, the Miami Zoning Board, at its meeting of July 10, 1989, Item No. 1, following an advertised hearing, adopted Resolution ZB 75-89 by a nine to zero vote (9-0) RECOMMENDING official vacation and closure of a portion of a street as hereinafter set forth, in accordance with all Plat and Street Committee recommendations; and WHEREAS, the Plat and Street Committee of the City of Miami conditioned its approval upon the following condition which the applicant has agreed to comply with: orderly assemblage, use, and development of the contiguous properties without adversely affection public travel; and WHEREAS, the City Commission finds that it is in the best interest of the general welfare of the City of Miami and its inhabitants to grant the vacation and closure of the street in question and deems it advisable to do so; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. That those two north -south alleys and one east -west alley located within the block bounded by Brickell CITY COMMISSIOr' MEETING OF Avenue, Southeast 14 Lane, Southeast Bayshore Drive, and Southeast 14 Terrace, in accordance with all Plat and Street Committee recommendations relative to this closure; all as a condition of approval of tentative Plat No. 1354 "Brickell Gateway East", zoned SPI-5 Brickell-Miami River Residential Office District, are hereby closed, vacated, abandoned and discontinued for public use.
