HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-89-0954J-89-967 lU/11/89 RESOLUTION NO. 89"'951 ,^ A RESOLUTION AMENDING SECTIONS 2 AND 3 OF RESOLUTION NO. 89--454, ADOPTED MAY 11, 1989, TO INCLUDE THE INSTALLATION OF A GUARD GATE IN THE CITY COMMISSION'S GRANT OF APPROVAL EXPRESSED IN SAID RESOLUTION FOR THE CREATION OF A SPECIAL TAXING DISTRICT FOR THE BELLE MEADE AREA, EXCLUSIVE OF BELLE MEADE ISLAND, LOCATED IN THE CITY OF MIAMI. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Sections 2 and 3 of Resolution No. 89-454, adopted May 11, 1989, are hereby amended in the following particulars:Z/ 1/ "Section 2. The creation of a special taxing district for the Belle Meade area, exclusive of Belle Meade Island, located in the City of Miami, Florida, in accordance with Chapter 18 of the Metropolitan Dade County Code, to provide security service is hereby approved, said service to include guard protection to consist of contracting for twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, unarmed, uniformed, guard service with a duly licensed and bonded State of Florida approved security guard service, to provide such services at the entrance of the district and the construction and maintenance of a concrete block structure guardhouse and guard gate, at no cost to the City, within the public right-of-way located at the entrance of the district on Northeast 76th Street, east of Northeast 6th Court, to be located in the swale area and not in the roadway portion of the right-of-way, such approval being further conditioned upon the affirmative vote of the residents of Belle Meade in an election to be conducted, at no cost to the City, according to the Metropolitan Dade County Code and being further subject to approval of the Dade County Commission. Section 3. Construction of said guardhouse and guard gate shall comply with the requirements of the South Florida Building Code and the City of Miami Public Works Department and upon the adoption of an ordinance amending Chapter 54 of the Code of the City of Miami to permit the construction of guardhouses and guard gates within the public right-of-way, in full compliance with the requirements of said ordinance."
