RESOLUTION NO.
A=9-938:
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR
HIS DESIGNEE, TO DECLARE TWO SURPLUS POLICE
PATROL CARS, TWO SURPLUS PICK-UP TRUCKS AND
ONE SURPLUS VAN AS CATEGORY "A" SURPLUS
STOCK, AND DONATING THE SAME, AFTER THE
EXECUTION OF THE APPROPRIATE RELEASE
DOCUMENTS, TO THE NEIGHBOR CITY OF
SWEETWATER; SAID VEHICLES TO BE USED BY THE
CITY OF SWEETWATER IN ITS EFFORTS TOWARD
DETERRING CRIME.
WHEREAS, the Police Department of the neighbor City of
Sweetwater has need for assistance in its efforts toward
deterring crime; and
WHEREAS, the Police Department of the neighbor City of
Sweetwater is in need of two surplus police patrol cars, two
surplus pick-up trucks and one surplus van to be used in its
efforts toward deterring crime; and
WHEREAS, the
City of
Miami
has
two surplus
police
patrol
cars, two surplus
pick-up
trucks
and
one surplus
van that
could
be used for just such a purpose; and
WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City Commission that
these two surplus police patrol cars, two surplus pick-up trucks
and one surplus van be donated to the City of Sweetwater;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City Manager, or his designee, is hereby
authorized to declare two surplus police patrol cars, two surplus
pick-up trucks and one surplus van as Category "A" surplus stock,

as stipulated in Section 18-51.4 of the Code of the City of
Miami, Florida, as amended.
Section 2. Said Category "A" surplus City vehicles are
hereby donated to the City of Sweetwater to be used in its
efforts towards deterring crime.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption.

the City of Miami's Commission.
Our Chief of Police, Charles Toledo will be appearing
in our behalf, to request the City's generosity in the
form of Two (2) Police Cars, Two (2) Pick -Up Trucks and
One (1) Step -Up Vari.
Please schedule our appearance at your earliest convenience.
