LANDIS TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MIAMI FOR TERMS EXPIRING JUNE 30, 1991 AND JUNE 30, 1992 RESPECTIVELY. WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Downtown Development Authority met on September 15, 1989 and voted to nominate Mirta (Mikki) P. Canton to fill the seat vacated by Vincent McGhee whose term expires June 30, 1991 and Lourdes (Luli) A. Landis to fill the seat vacated by Henry Salum whose term expires June 30, 1992; and WHEREAS, each of the above nominees fulfills the qualifications for Board membership pursuant to Section 14-27 of the City Code; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The following individual is hereby appointed to serve as a member of the Board of Directors of the Downtown Development Authority of the City of Miami for a term expiring June 30, 1991: MIRTA (MIKKI) P. ENCLOSURES: Recommendation It is recommended that the Commission adopt the attached Resolution appointing Luli A. Landis and Mikki P. Canton to the DDA Board for terms expiring June 30, 1992 and June 30, 1991 respectively. Background Henry Salum whose term expires June 30, 1992 and Vincent McGhee whose term expires June 30, 1991 have resigned from the DDA Board. On September 15, 1989, the DDA Board nominated Luli A. Landis to replace Mr. Salum and Mikki P. Canton to replace Mr., McGhee. Both nominees fulfill the requirements for DDA Board membership. as per Section 14-27 of the City Code and each has indicated her desire and willingness to serve on the DDA Board.
