A RESOLUTION APPOINTING A MEMBER TO THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI FIRE FIGHTERS' AND POLICE OFFICERS'
RETIREMENT TRUST AS PROVIDED FOR BY CITY OF MIAMI ORDINANCE
NO. 10002, APPEARING IN THE CITY CODE AS SECTIONS 40-201 AND
40-202 FOR A SPECIFIED TERM OF OFFICE.
WHEREAS, An appointment needs to be made to the City of
Miami Fire Fighters' and Police Officers Retirement Trust Board
of Trustees for the term of office specified herein;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The following individual is hereby appointed as
a member of the City of Miami Fire Fighters' and Police Officers'
I Retirement Trust Board of Trustees to serve a full term of office
which begins October 1, 1989 and expires September 30, 1991.
NAME: JESSE QINER
Section 2. The above appointment Is made pursuant to
Ordinance No. 10002 appearing in the City Code as Sections 40-201
and 40-202.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 12th day of October 1989.

It is recommended that the City Commission approve the attached
Resolution reappointing a member to the City of Miami Fire
Fighters' and Police Officers Retirement Trust Board.
Background:
City of Miami Code sections 40-201 and 40-202 (Ordinance #10002),
provides for the appointment of a nine member board of trustees
to
administer and manage the retirement system known as the "City
of
Miami Fire Fighters' and Police Officers' Retirement Trust".
Of
these nine members, one is to be selected by the City Manager, two
by
the fire fighters' (IAFF bargaining unit) and two by the police
officers' (FOP bargaining unit). Four independent trustees are to
be
selected by the City Commission.
Of the present appointments, one is expiring:
(1) The appointment of JESSE DINER was made by the
City Commission from a list of independent
board member candidates submitted by the
Fraternal Order of Police. It is the FOP's
recommendation that JESSE DINER be reappointed

for a term of office which would begin on
October 11 1989 and would expire on September
30, 1991.

#20 endorses the re -appointment of Mr. Jesse Diner to the 1990 term
of the Pension Board.
