BACKGROUND:
The City usually supplements its revenues via Federal, State,
County and Local government grants, as well as from private
foundations and corporations. In most cases, these government
and private agencies require that a resolution or ordinance be
adopted authorizing submission of the application, assuring the
availability of the required match and the name of the person
authorized to sign the application.
This proposed resolution addresses these requirements and sets
the City Manager's authority, as granted and expressed by the
City Commission, to proceed with the general procurement of
grant-in-aid funds from these sources.
