HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-89-1148s is J-89-1181 12/12/89 RESOLUTION NO, 89-1148 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER'S CLOSURE OF BICENTENNIAL PARK FOR THE PERIOD FEBRUARY 101 1990 THROUGH AND INCLUDING FEBRUARY 26, 1990 SUBJECT TO MIAMI MOTORSPORTS, INC.'S AFFORDING MIAMI-DADE COMMUNITY COLLEGE'S CONTINUED AND UNINTERRUPTED USE RIGHTS PURSUANT TO THAT CERTAIN USE AGREEMENT DATED JUNE 25, 1981 WHICH EXPIRES ON JULY 24, 1990 BETWEEN MIAMI- DADE COMMUNITY COLLEGE AND THE CITY OF MIAMI AND SUBJECT TO MIAMI MOTORSPORTS, INC. PROVIDING SUCH ADDITIONAL INSURANCE PROTECTION AND INDEMNITY PROTECTIONS TO THE CITY AND MIAMI-DADE COMMUNITY COLLEGE FOR CLAIMS AND LOSSES WHICH MAY ARISE FROM THE GRAND PRIX RACE SITUATED IN PART AT BICENTENNIAL PARK. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized toy. r close Bicentennial Park for the period February 10, 1990 through i and including February 26, 1990 subject to Miami Motorsports, s r Inc.'s affording Miami -Dade Community College's continued and uninterrupted use rights pursuant to that certain Use Agreement dated June 25, 1981 which expires on July 24, 1990 between Miami - Dade Community College and the City of Miami and subject to Miami x Motorsports, Inc. providing such additional insurance protection and indemnity protections to the City and Miami -Dade Community College for claims and losses which may arise from the Grand Prix p race situated in part at Bicentennial Park. 0 2 Section 2.
