REFERENCES: City Commission Agenda
December 7, 1969
ENCLOSURES:
One (1) Ordinance
It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the
attached ordinance which amends Section 1 of Ordinance 10619 by
increasing t-Iie appropriation to the Special Revenue Fund entitled
"JTPA TITLE I/OLDER WORKER (FY'90)" by $8,300, thereby increasing
said Special Revenue Fund to $18,675 and also increases the
appropriation to the Special Revenue Fund entitled "JTPA TITLE
IIA/NEIGHBORHOODS JOBS PROGRAM (FY'90)" by $42,321, thereby
increasing said Special Revenue Fund to $366,834 for the
operation of the Neighborhoods Jobs Program.
BACKGROUND
The Department of Community Development has been advised by the
SFETC that it has been allocated an additional $8,300 to operate
its JTPA Title I Older Worker program and an additional $19,487
to operate the JTPA Title IIA Neighborhoods Jobs program. These
increases bring the total allocation for the Older Worker Program
to $18,675 and the Neighborhoods Jobs Program to $344,000.
In addition to the aforementioned increase, the Neighborhoods
Jobs Program under Title- IIA will also receive an incentive
award in the amount of $22,834. The incentive allocation is
awarded on the basis of the City's success in finding employment
for participants identified as "difficult to place" by the SFETC.
The proposed ordinance amends Section 1 of Ordinance 10619 by
increasing the appropriation to the Special Revenue Fund entitled
"JTPA TITLE I/OLDER WORKER (FY'90)" by $8,300, thereby increasing
said Special Revenue Fund to $18,675 and also increases the
appropriation to the Special Revenue Fund entitled "JTPA TITLE
IIA/NEIGHBORHOODS JOBS PROGRAM (FY'90)" by $42,321, 'thereby
increasing said Special Revenue Fund to $366,834 for the
operation of the Neighborhoods Jobs Program.
