AN ORDINANCE, WITH ATTACHMENTS, REPEALING ZONING ORDINANCE N0. 9600, AS AMENDED, THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF T8E CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, AND SUBSTITUTING THEREFORE A NBW ZONING ORDINANCE TO BE KNOWN AND CITED AS "THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA"; WHICH IS ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; MAKING FINDINGS, CONTAINING AUTHORITY, INTENT AND PURPOSE AND SHORT TITLE SECTIONS; REGULATING LAND, WATER AND STRIICTURES, USES AND OCCUPANCIES, HEIGHT AND BULK, DENSITY, LOT COVERAGE, LOT AREA PER DWELLING UNIT, PARKING AND SIGNS; PROVIDING FOR ADOPTION THEREIN OF THE OFFICIAL ZONING ATLAS, AND THE OFFICIAL SCHEDULE OF DISTRICT REGULATIONS; PROVIDING FOR ZONING DISTRICTS, PLANNED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICTS, SPECIAL PUBLIC INTEREST DISTRICTS, HERITAGE CONSERVATION DISTRICTS; DEFINITIONS AND GENERAL REGULATIONS; DESIGN STANDAP.DS; NON- CONFORMITIES; PROVIDING FOR FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF CITY COMMISSION, OFFICERS, ANA BOARDS; SPECIAL PERMITS; SPECIAL EXCEPTIONS; PROVIDING FOR APPEALS FROM DECISIONS OF ZONING ADMINISTRATOR AND DIRECTOR OF PLANNING, ZONING $OARD AND CITY COMMISSION; PROVIDING FOR VARIANCES; PROVIDING FOR ENFORCEMENT, VIOLATIONS AND PENALTIES; PROVIDING FOR AMENDMENTS AND A RESORT TO REMEDIES CLAIISE; CONTAINING A REPEALER PROVISION AND A SEVERABILITY CLAIISE; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE 180 DAYS AFTER ITS ADOPTION. t'2. ~ ~P2~ ~{~~e,.~ J ~' G~R~ WHEREAS, Miami's first Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance and pertain zoning distriot maps dated August 8, 1934 were adopted by Ordinance No . 1 ]. &6 ; and f'~ WHEREAS, General Zoni Ordinanoe No X682, inoluding the ~g O aforementioned z n~ distriot s~ beoame effective ~~ February 28. 9'~7 d WHEREAS, Comprehensive n~g Ordinanoe No. 6871, effective June 2, 1981 and subsequent amendments. was superseded by Ordinance No. 9600; and WHEREAS, Ordinanoe No. 9600, as amended, the Zoning Ordinano® of the City of Miami, Florida, effeotive dune 27, 1983 and subsequent amendments, have been found to be obsolete and in need of mayor revisions; and
