HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-90-0065J-90--123 1/25/90 RESOLUTION NO. 90-0065 A RESOLUTION GRANTING THE REQUEST OF THE BALLET CONCERTO COMPANY OF MIAMI/CUBAN FOLKLORE OF MIAMI FOR A WAIVER OF THE $350 RENTAL FEE AND TEN (10) PERCENT OF GROSS TICKET SALES FOR FOUR (4) FUTURE PERFORMANCES TO BE HELD AT THE MANUEL ARTIME PERFORMING ARTS CENTER DURING 1990, CONDITIONED UPON THE ORGANIZATION OBTAINING INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS AS MANDATED BY THE CITY OF MIAMI AND PAYING FOR ANY COSTS ABOVE AND BEYOND THOSE FEES GRANTED BY THIS RESOLUTION. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section I. The request of the Ballet Concerto Company of Miami/Cuban Folklore of Miami for a waiver of the $350 rental fee and ten (10) percent of gross ticket sales for four (4) future performances to be held at the Manuel Artime Performing Arts Center during 1990 is hereby granted. Section 2. The herein waivers are hereby conditioned upon the organization obtaining insurance requirements as mandated by the City of Miami and paying for any costs above and beyond the waivers granted under this Resolution. Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 25th day of January , 1990. We would like to express our appreciation to the city of Miami for having chosen Ballet Concerto Com- pany/Cuban Folklore of Miami as the resident company of the Manuel Artime Performing Arts Center. We opened the season on December 3, 1989. Our plans include the development of an audience that will become habitues of the theater. 446-7922 At this time we are requesting that the rental. fees of the theater are waived for 1990. The fees are $350.O0 plus j0% of the ticket sale per performance.
