This process is long overdue, and efforts to facilitate its resolution administratively have yielded no results since June 1988. As of this writing, ali eight (8) seats allocated to the City of Miami need re-appointment/replacement. Their status is as follows: Private Sector 1. i~illiam Alexander. Term expired on June 30, 1986 2. Elmer Leyva. Term expired on June 30, 1989 3. Lori Weldon. Term expired on June 30, 1988 4, Vacancy due to JorcJe De Tuya's resignation 5. Vacancy due to Richard Pettigrew's resignat#on Comnuni ty-Based Organizations 6. Melvin Chaves. Term expired on June 30, 1989 7, Josefina Habif. Term expired on June 30, 1989 Education 8. dr. Roosevelt Thomas. Term expired June 30, 1988. All these individuals have performed very well, and except in the case of those who have resigned, we would welcome their re-appointment. In making appointment please note that according to the Job Training Partnership Act, appointments to Private Sector seats must be made from nominations from general purpose business organizations; appointments to Education seats must be made from nominations f rom local educational agencies, vocational Education institutions, institutions of higher education, general organizations of such agencies or institutions, or private and proprietary schools or their general organizations; and appointments to Labor seats must be made from reeo~r~r-endations fro3^n recognized Statfy and local labor arganizatians or appropriate building CYrtironon, crank Y.!.
