JOSEPH P. KLQCK, JR.
Joseph P. Klock, Jr. is Chairman of the Executive Committee
and member of the Board of Directors of the law firm of
Steel Hector & Davis. Mr. Klock joined Steel Hector in
1973. and became a partner of the firm in 1977. In 1981,
he was elected to the firm's Executive Committee.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Mr. Klock attended St.
Joseph's Preparatory School and graduated from LaSalle
Collage (B.A. 1970). He earned his law degree, with honors,
from the university of Miami (1973), where he was Editor
of the Law Review. He is a member of Phi Kappa Phi, (?micron
Delta Kappa and Phi Alpha Delta and a member of the Society
of Wig and Robe.
Mr. Klock is a Director of National Beverage Corporation
and Premier Resorts and Hotels, Incorporated. He is
President of the University of Miami Law Alumni Association
from which he received the outstanding Alumni of the Year
Award and is General Counsel for the school's Iron Arrow
Honor Society. He is Chairman of the Board of Trustees
of Carrollton School of the Sacred Hurt and a member of
the Board of Directors of Helen Jesuit Preparatory School.
He serves on the Bayf rout Park Preservation Trust.
Mr. Klock has served as Adjunct Professor for Federal
Jurisdiction and Civil Procedure at the University of Miami.
He is a past Chairman of the Civil Procedure Rules Committee
of The Florida Bar and is a member of the American Law
Institute and a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation.
Mr. Klock is a member of the Association of the Bar of
the City of New York, as well as the District of Columbia
Bar, the Dade and Monroe County Bar Associations, and the
State Bars of Florida and Pennsylvania.
