HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-90-0216W 1T -- 9 () -- 26 1 -/ pl/1)() RES01,1..ITION NO, 90- CO(211, A RESOLUTION CONCERNING THE ORANGE CELEBRATION FESTIVAL, TO BE CONDUCTED BY METROPOLITAN DADE COUNTY ART IN PUBLIC PLACES TO BE HELD MARCH 31, 1990, AUTHORIZING THE CLOSURE OF DESIGNA`i'ED STREETS TO THROUGH VEHICULAR TRAFFIC, SUBJECT TO THE ISSUANCE OF PERMITS BY THE DEPARTMENTS OF POLICE AND FIRE, RESCUE AND INSPECTION SERVICES AND THE REQUIREMENT THAT THE CITY WILL BE INSURED AGAINST ANY POTENTIAL LIABILITY AND UPON ORGANIZERS PAYING FOR ALL, NECESSARY COSTS OF CITY SERVICES. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. In order to effectuate safe passage during the Orange Celebration Festival to be conducted by Metropolitan Dade County Art in Public Places, the fallowing streets are hereby closed to through vehicular traffic from 7:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 31, 1990 as specified below: Northwest First Street from Northwest Second Avenue to Northwest First Avenue. Included in the herein closure are all streets, avenues, alleys, ways and thoroughfares which intersect the enumerated areas delineated in this Section. Section 2. Such closing of streets is subject to State approval and issuance of permits by the Departments of Police and Fire, Rescue and Inspection Services. Said permit from the Department of Police is to be issued upon full approval of the Chief of Police after giving all due consideration to the safety and traffic needs of residents, businesses, and religious institutions in the area for entering and crossing through said arterials and upon the favorable exercise of the City Manager's judgement predicated upon all factory set forth herein. Section 3.
