A RESOLUTION CLASSIFYING UP TO TWENTY (20) SURPLUS POLICE PATROL SPECIFICATION CARS AS CATEGORY "A" STOCK, SHOULD SUCH CARS BECOME AVAILABLE AS SURPLUS CITY STOCK; FURTHER DONATING THE SAME TO FLORIDA CITY, FLORIDA, SUCH DONATION TO BE VALID AND EFFECTIVE BETWEEN MARCH 8, 1990 AND MARCH 7, 1991. UPON THE EXECUTION OF THE APPR0PRIATE RELEASE DOCUMENTS; SAID VEHICLES TO BE USED BY FLORIDA CITY, FLORIDA, IN ITS EFFORTS TOWARD DETERRING CRIME. WHEREAS, Florida City, Florida, is in need of tip to twenty (20) police patrol specification cars to be used in its efforts toward deterring crime; and WHEREAS, the possibility exists that between March 8, 1990 and March 7, 1991, the City of Miami administration may classify as surplus some cars with police patrol specifications; and WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City Commission that, within the period of March 8, 1990 and March 7, 1991, if available, up to twenty (20) surplus police patrol specification cars be declared category "A" Surplus Stock and donated to Florida City, Florida; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the y Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. That within the period of March 8, 1990 and March 7, 1991, up to twenty (20) surplus police patrol, specification cars are hereby classified Category "A" surplus stock if such cars become available for said classification and are hereby donated to Florida City, Florida, upon execution of GI IVIiSSION MtMNG OF 90 lc er 1 the appropriate release documents, to be used in Florida Ci_ty's efforts toward deterring crime. Section 3. Please schedule a discussion item at the March 8, 1990 Commission Meeting in order that legislation can be passed to make available Bey surplus vehicles to Mayor Wallace.
