FEE WAIVER. AMOUNT IF ANY PROFITS ARE MADE AND UPON THE PROVISION OF AN AUDIT TO THE CITY AT THE ORGANIZER'S EXPENSE; FURTHER CONDITIONED UPON THE ORGANIZATION OBTAINING INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS AS MANDATED BY THE CITY OF MIAMI AND PAYING FOR ANY COSTS ABOVE AND BEYOND THOSE FEES GRANTED BY THIS RESOLUTION. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The request of the Fundacion Gardeliana del Plata for a waiver of the rental fee for three (3) performances to be held at the Manuel Arr_ime Performing Arts Center June 22, 23 and 24, 199U is hereby granted. Section 2. The herein waiver is hereby subject to the organizers reimbursing the City up to the fee waiver amount if any profits are made and upon the provision of an audit to the City at the organizer's expense. Section 3. The herein waiver is hereby further conditioned upon the organization obtaining insurance requirements as mandated by the City of Miami and paying for any costs above and beyond the waivers granted under this Resolution. Attached you will find the budget to commemorate the 100 years of the natalitial of Carlos Gardel, argentine actor and =! singer, first tango figure in the world, who filmed several -1 movies in Hollywood. The Fundacion Gardeliana del Plata (Gardeliana Foundation of the Plata) international institution in cooperation with the Miami filial presents to the Dade County Miami Commission the idea and opportunity to corranemorate the centenary of this great artist, who performed his best work in the United States. The idea is as follows: three performances in the MANUEL ARTIMES Theater an June 22, 23 and 24, 1990. On June 24, 1990 the 3:00 p.m. performance would be completely free for the community in Miami. The event woul('. bring artists from Argentina along with other local performers. Therefore, the Fundacion Gardeliana requests to the Miami Commission, a budget help for such event, which would be to better enhance Miami both artistically and culturally.
