Honorable Mayor and Members DATE: FEB'i 90 FILE. E of the City Commission FL SUBJECT: Ordinance Amending Ordinance' No. 10642 FROM: REFERENCES: Cesar H. Odio City Commission -Meeting City Manager ENCLOSURES: ',larch 8, 1990 RECOMMENDATION: It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 10642, the Capital Improvements Appropriations Ordinance; by increasing the total appropriations to "Renovation of Manuel Artime Community Center" in the amount of $20;600 to reflect the accrued interest earned from the State of Florida direct grant award of $300,000 in 1987. BACKGROUND: The Department of Community Development has analyzed the need to appropriate funds in the amount of $20,600 in accrued interest from the $300,000 Special Category historic preservation grant funds received from the State of Florida in 1987, for Capital Improvement Project No. 333083, Renovation of Manuel Artime Community Center. In January 1988 the City was informed by the State that interest funds derived from the Special Category grants awarded in 1987, could be retained by the City to be used for project purposes. Accordingly, these funds need to be appropriated to enable the City to cover current and future project related activity costs. Attachment: Ordinance OJL0723.
