/ ENCLOSURES ( 2 )
In order to expand upon the concept of the Commission Awareness
Program I have drafted a sugge gted categorical breakdown of all
the City of Miami major departments and the assistant city
managers and department heads.(Alternative 1)
With the exception of the Mayor, who has previously stated on
the record that he will not participate in this program, I am
requesting additional input from the other members of the commission
as to your specific thoughts on this matter.
If there is an agreement on this suggested draft, each remaining
commissioner will chose a particular category,or indicate the
departments in which you have the most interest. (Alternative 2)
The intent of the Commission Awareness Program is to become more
familiar with departmental legislation from its inception on an
inquiry basis only. In addition, this concept will allow the
commission to be more accountable and efficient in carrying out
our responsibilities.
I look forward to your input regarding this concept.
