Dear Mr. Odio
We would like to addxess the city ccnrissioners at the May 10th, 1990
co mission meeting.
We are holding an "Oktoberfest and fall of the Berlin Wall" celebration
at Bayfront Park on Sept. 29th and 30th. We have received a grant of
$ 6,400 from Dade County and are seeking a grant (or in -kind services )
from the City of Miami. The cost of the festival is $ 57,000.
with Police $ 4,500, Fire Dept. $ 2,000, Solid Wasteand cleanup $ 1,500,
Insurance $ 2,700, being the items we would like in --kind service or would
use grant money's for.
We are experienced in holding festivals and have a good reputation,
and are members of the Greater Miami Festivals Association.
We have held an "Oktoberfest" in Homestead for 7 years, but have out-
g.-cwn that location.
