FILE Resolution for the purchase of Safes and CCTV Equipment It is respectfully recommended that a Resolution be passed for the purchase of Safes and CCTV Equipment, at an estimated cost of $13,200. Funding is to be from the Law Enforcement Trust Fund. The Miami Police Department Property Unit is responsible for the storage of large volumes of money, valuables, firearms, and narcotics which are pending forfeiture action or being held as evidence. Narcotics and money are seized regularly as a result of S.T.I.N.G. and other undercover operations. These operations also result in the seizure of sizable amounts of personal property, which may or may not be held for forfeiture. It is imperative that these items are protected during the time they are in the possession of the police department, pending litigation. The requested equipment will enable the Property Unit to properly safeguard and monitor such property. It is, therefore, recommended that the Resolution authorizing the purchase of safes and CCTV Equipment, at an Pgtimated cost of $13,200, funding to be from the Law Enforcement Trust Fund, Project No. 690001, Index Code 290904-996, be approved. 90~- 337 CAS r/ AFFIDAVIT I, Perry L.
