Home My WebLink AboutR-90-04350 .J--90-572 6/7/90 RESOLUTION NO. 90- 435 A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING SPECIAL CHARGES FOR THE USE OF THE BOBBY MADURO MIAMI BASEBALL STADIUM BY THE MIAMI HAVANA LIONS CLUB FOR THE FRIENDSHIP BASEBALL TOURNAMENT TO BE HELD AT THE BOBBY MADURO MIAMI BASEBALL STADIUM ON JULY 21-22, 1990; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A USE AGREEMENT, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, WITH SAID USER FOR THIS PURPOSE. WHEREAS, the City of Miami Department of Conferences, Conventions and Public Facilities seeks quality events for the Bobby Maduro Miami Baseball Stadium and the enjoyment of the community; and WHEREAS, it is recommended that special charges be established for this community event; and WHEREAS, it is recommended that the use fee bewaived for the event, conditioned upon the user agreeing to pay all expenses required in association with said event including, without limitation, police, event personnel, cleanup, and ticket surcharge; and WHEREAS, Section 53-146(C)(6) of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended, provides that the City Commission has the right to establish and fix special charges for the use of said stadium; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2.
