IN THE AMOUNT OF $298,225.00 AND PNM CORPORATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $65,300.00, FOR A TOTAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $363,525.00, FOR THE RESURFACING OF 30 TENNIS COURTS AT SEVEN CITY PARKS FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION; ALLOCATING FUNDS THEREFOR FROM THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUNDS ( PROJECT NO. 313318, ACCOUNT CODE NO. 589301-860; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE CHIEF PROCUREMENT OFFICER TO ISSUE PURCHASE ORDERS FOR THIS SERVICE. 7 WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received April 26, 1990*for the resurfacing of 30 tennis courts for the Department of Parks and Recreation; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to eleven potential suppliers and three bids were received; and WHEREAS, funds for this service are available from the Capital Improvement Funds Project No. 313318, Account No. 589301-860; and WHEREAS, this service will be used by the Department of Parks and Recreation for the purpose of resurfacing thirty tennis courts at seven City parks; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of Parks and Recreation recommend that the bids received from Williams Paving Co., Inc. and PNM Corporation be accepted as the lowest responsible and responsive bids; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. *City Clerk's Note: The date appearing on the first whereas clause is incorrect.
