A PSOOLUTION CONCERNING BASTILLE DAY TO $E
CONDUCTED BY THE RENAISSANCE HISTORICAL
SOCIETY OF FLORIDA, INC. TO BE MELD JULY 14,
1990, AUTHORIZINO THE CLOSURE OF DESIGNATED
STREETS TO THROUGH VEHICULAR TRAFFIC; SUBJECT
TO THE ISSUANCE OF PERMITS BY THE DEPARTMENTS
OF POLICE AND FIRE, RESCUE AND INSPECTION
'SERVICES AND THE REQUIREMENT THAT THE CITY
'WILL BE INSURED AGAINST ANY POTENTIAL
LIABILITY AND UPON ORGANIZERS PAYING FOR ALL
NECESSARY COSTS OF CITY SERVICES.
BE IT` RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. In order to effectuate safe passage during
Bastille Day Mhe following streets are hereby closed to through
vehicular traffic on July 14, 1990 as specified below:
North Miami Avenue from Northwest Thirty-fifth Street to
Northwest Thirty-six Street.
Included in the herein closure are all streets, avenues,
alleys, ways and thoroughfares which intersect the
enumerated areas delineated in this Section.
Section 2. Such closing of streets is subject to State
approval and issuance of permits by the Departments of Police and
Fire, Rescue and Inspection Services. Said permit from the
Department of Police is to be issued upon full approval of the
Chief of Police after giving all due consideration to the safety
and traffic needs of residents, businesses, and religious
institutions in the area for entering and crossing through said
arterials and upon the favorable exercise of the City Manager's
judgement predicated upon all factors set forth herein.
Section 3. Such street closures are subject to the
organizers obtaining insurance requirements as mandated by the
City of Miami and paying for all necessary costs of City °>
services.

Dear Mr.` ' Odio :
As President of the Renaissance Historical Society, I hereby
request a personal appearance before the City Commission on
Thursday, July 12th, 1990.
The services of the Society have been retained by the French
Compady of Roche-Bobois to re-create the "Storming of the
Bastille" on Saturday, July 14th, 1990, which will be the 101st
year of the French Revolution.

We are hereby requesting authorization to close the following:
MIAMI AVENUE at 35th STREET and 36th STREET '
_ beginning at the hour of 9.00 a.m. for a total
of three (3) hours ending at 12:00 dclock noon.
We thank you and the City Commissioners for your cooperation
and consideration of this request.
